With ETH Rising, as most of us in the scene predicted, as it was the "next big thing" after bitcoin. But what's after ETH?

My current best guess is Monero as it has been rising rapidly. Ripple seems too volatile compared to monero atm, but I could see that changing.

As you can tell by my profile picture, I may be a bit biased. With that being said, I definitely think Monero has a chance to gain some major recognition long term. It's probably the most solid project out there with a clear market of people who are actually interested in using it, versus just hoarding it. Whether Monero will be the "next big thing", I'm not quite sure. Projects like IOTA are proving to be incredibly promising as well. I know that Monero will be big, but whether it beats out other popular projects like IOTA, I don't know.

As far as Ripple goes, I don't see it going too far. Even if you're alright with the idea that it's completely centralized, you also have to live with the fact that the XRP token itself isn't actually useful. Banks can (and will) deploy their own coins on the Ripple platform. The actually currency investors are buying into now, XRP, seems like a way for the Ripple devs to make money, seeing as they own over 60% of the coins right off the bat.

Have you read Monero's whitepaper? It is the cleanest and least scammy looking one across the board. I have to say Monero seems like a very professional try at a Crypto, and I'm definitely looking forward to them taking a lead. As to whether that will happen or not seems very volatile at the moment. Although Monero has a better stab at it than XRP for sure.

Monero and ripple are in my list for long term investments. I keep buying in small amounts at different market prices. Until the recent crash I had gained quite a bit on my investment. Looking forward to it going back up though.

Monero is a great, albeit under-priced coin In my honest opinion. It is one of the only coins development I actively follow, while still not invested in. Mainly because I don't see any great gains with it, but I love what they are doing with it.
